Cherry Americas, LLC supports the RoHS Directive, which restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment in the EU.
Quality is a process throughout the entire Company. Cherry holds certifications for each of its manufacturing centers. We are committed to meeting the highest standards for quality assurance not only in our products, but also in our processes. The quality assurance processes at all Cherry manufacturing facilities have been certified under ISO9001.
The RoHS Directive stands for “the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances” in electrical and electronic equipment. The Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
All keyboard series manufactured after July 1, 2006 comply with the RoHS 2 Directive 2011/65/EU. Since we may continue to stock some non-RoHS inventory for non-EU countries, please call (800) 510-1689 for specific compliance information on individual keyboard part numbers.
